Overview

The Mesh to SimReady workflow starts with an existing 3D model. It reconstructs or optimizes the mesh, enhances or generates textures, and processes the asset through the full SimReady pipeline for physics, collision, and export.

This workflow is ideal when you already have a 3D asset (OBJ, FBX, GLB) and want to make it simulation-ready without rebuilding it from images or text.

Step 1: Asset Name

The Asset Name becomes the base name for the generated output files and project.

Step 2: Upload Mesh

Upload your existing 3D model file. Supported formats include OBJ, FBX, and GLB. The mesh will be repaired and optimized for simulation.

Step 3: Texture Creation (Optional)

If your mesh lacks textures or you want to enhance them, clicking Create Texture generates or improves textures using the Meshy API. This step is optional if your mesh already has production-quality textures.

Step 4: Continue to Simulation Setup

The Submit button advances the asset to the common SimReady pipeline for collision generation, physics property estimation, part segmentation or articulation (if enabled), and final export.
