Overview

The Image to SimReady workflow generates a simulation-ready 3D asset from one or more input images. A single image is the primary and recommended input flow; multi-view input (four angles) is optional and can improve geometry accuracy for complex objects.

Step 1: Asset Name

The Asset Name is the label used to keep your project files organized. It becomes the base name for the generated output files.

Step 2: Image Upload and Generation Prompt

This workflow requires at least one input image. There are two modes:

• Single View (primary flow): upload one image of the object. This is the recommended approach for most use cases.
• Multi View (optional): upload four images showing the object from the front, back, left, and right. All four are required. Can improve geometry accuracy for complex shapes.

Best Practices for Input Images

• Isolate the object: ensure the object is the main subject in the frame.
• Use a contrasting background: plain or simple backgrounds make segmentation more accurate.
• Keep the object in focus: avoid motion blur or poor lighting.
• Use high resolution images when possible for better mesh detail.

The Generation Prompt serves as a helper. It refines how the system interprets your images and guides mesh reconstruction. Including physical characteristics (material, texture, shape) improves results.

Step 3: Mesh Generation

After uploading images and setting the prompt, clicking Generate Mesh runs the reconstruction pipeline. Two 3D generation backends are available depending on quality setting:

• Tencent Hunyuan3D v3.0 / v3.1 — used for high quality mesh generation. Produces detailed, accurate geometry.
