Overview

The Image to SimReady workflow generates a simulation-ready 3D asset using either single view or multi view input images, supported by a text prompt. This approach is ideal when you already have pictures of an object and want to reconstruct it accurately for simulation. The uploaded images provide the core visual reference, while the prompt helps guide detail, context, and physics-aware properties.

Step 1: Asset Name

The Asset Name is the label used to keep your project files organized. It becomes the base name for the generated images, mesh files, and downloadable assets. Users can freely type names with spaces (for example, “office chair”), and the system will automatically format them into filenames (for example, “office_chair”) to keep exports consistent and organized.

Step 2: Image Upload and Generation Prompt

This workflow requires at least one input image. There are two modes:

• Single View: upload one image of the object.
• Multi View: upload four images showing the object from the front, back, left, and right. All four are required for best multi-angle reconstruction.

Best Practices for Input Images

• Isolate the object: ensure the object is the main subject in the frame.
• Use a contrasting background: plain or simple backgrounds make segmentation more accurate.
• Keep the object in focus: avoid motion blur or poor lighting.

The Generation Prompt serves as a helper. It refines how the system interprets your images and guides mesh reconstruction. While the images provide the foundation, descriptive prompts improve mesh fidelity and texture realism.
